© Trance Podium One of the most popular trance music websites Trance Podium have announced that the site will come to an end after 15 years delivering everything any trance fan could ever need. Itâ€™s another sad loss to the online world of trance journalismâ€¦

The news today from one of my personal favourite trance music websites was not good. Trance Podium has been online delivering everything trance for the past 15 years with an extensive database of trance music information spanning years. It has really been a brilliant resource for trance music news, reviews, interviews and competition over the years. You might have been lucky enough to win one as I have been in the past as they used to run regular competitions to win some of the latest trance album releases. The site was home to the Top 100 poll, a real trance music fans best DJ list which is a refreshing change from the commercial nature of the DJ Mag Top 100.

Time moves, people have other commitments, family time becomes more important and it leaves sometimes not many minutes for anything else. In some cases the passion for the music just fades away. You can’t be upset for the reasons why this is the end for Trance Podium which Remco made in an announcement this week.

"Dear members and followers, after a long thought, I've come to the decision to stop with TrancePodium. After putting all my passion in this website for nearly 15 years I no longer feel the dedication that has driven me all that time. It is time for me to move on.

It is time for me to spend more time with my family, my other hobbies, or simply, just be able to relax every once and a while. It was an absolute joy to be part of this comminity for nearly 15 years and (co-)lead this website for the past 13 years to the name it has now in the Trance scene.

It is impossible to describe the pride I am feeling. I feel thankful also, to those who have helped grow TrancePodium all those years. Not in the last place founder Marjan, but also the moderators we used to have, Michelle for her amazing interviews, our members, readers, listeners, followers and the people who have voted in our polls. TrancePodium wouldn't have been TrancePodium without you all.

TrancePodium won't go away without a bang of course. Therefore, on November 29th the TrancePodium 15 Years Anniversary will be The Final Celebration.

So join us on the 29th of November 2021 at TrancePodium.com and at Afterhours.fm to celebrate this special last day with us! 18 hours of mixes from the biggest and upcoming Trance names at the moment including the broadcast of The TrancePodium Top 100 Trance Tracks Of All Time voted by you!"

It’s very sad to see another trance site go as I’ve been a fan of the site for many years! I do hope the information and the site can be retained somewhere as it’s a huge archive of trance music information that would be very sad to lose.
