'Mechanism presents the first of a few tracks signed from our Eastern European friends in Hungary. Duel has an album out over there in July and we are pleased to have the opportunity to license this track from Planetarium Records. Since signing the track, a three way effort has been made to push this release, the track has also been licensed to Play Recordings and they have produced two fine mixes from 2 Sinners & Cabasa, that is due for release in May. Planetarium will also release the track in its original form along with a remix.'.. (Mechanism Press Release)
"What can we say about these two remixers, JAS aka Chonga has caused a stir since breaking onto the scene last summer with his carnival EP on SAW. Phil Jason hails from NYC and has also had tracks out on Plastic Fantastic and Mechanism and has projects forthcoming on labels such as SAW and Renaissance. Ortus is Lewis Hopkin from Airgap Records down in sunny Devon, having also signed tracks to Yoshitoshi. His deep underground grooves have found favour with all the top progressive Dj's. We are really excited about this project which we feel to be the strongest release to date for the label."

The A side: 'JAS remix' is a full on vocal remix which brings together all the elements associated with JAS, tribal grooves and dark moods set the tone for this awesome mix. The arrangement cleverly uses snippets of the vocals to make loops whilst the pads continue to bring the mood of the track up. in all the track has quite a housey feel, not as dark as you may have expected from JAS. With it's solid production and interesting vocal we expct a dancefloor response to cross right over....
The AA side: 'Ortus Dub Mix' is a deep, dark, driving prog monster. Ortus have been moving away from their deeper grooves recently and this is an example of the net result..Peaktime mayhem is the order of the day here, wicked moody stabs and a rock solid bassline driven groove drive this track forward. As you might expect the production is top notch...."
