RUSCH & MURRAY ‘EPIC’ OUT NOW
Rumoured to have been allocated its own suite (complete with Jacuzzi) inside Armin Van Buuren’s record box, Rusch & Murray ‘Epic’ is finally available to own on 12 inches of Anjunabeats vinyl loveliness. Available from all good record stores and featuring a remix from Above & Beyond to add to the stonkingly fine Original Club mix, owners of this tune will be joining an elite celebrity fan club that includes: Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto and, word has it, Nelson Mandela. Don’t delay, buy one today.

ANJUNABEATS SIGNS ‘MATT HARDWICK V SMITH & PLEDGER: DAY ONE’
Ferry Corsten’s battered his CD copy into oblivion and Armin Van Buuren has christened it ‘future favourite’ on his ID&T radio show. Rumour also has it that Tiesto’s been spinning ‘Day One’ when no one’s looking. Anyway, we’ve taken the hint and snapped this little baby up for a September release on Anjuna. Smith & Pledger are red hot producers Olie Smith and Mark Pledger and Matt Hardwick is er, Matt Hardwick. Factor in a ridiculously uplifting Above & Beyond remix and you have a tune more omnipresent this summer than God himself. Nuff said.

DIRT DEVILS SIGNED TO NULIFE, WHERE MUSIC IS LIFE
“Music is life is already one of THE summer anthems, and should be a huge hit in the aftermath of the summer months”, says Judge Jules and who are we to argue? After 9 consecutive Julesy radio 1 plays, we’ve had to set up a call centre just to handle all the majors ringing us about the tune. In the end we’ve signed it to Nulife, so keep your ears pricked for plenty of radio play and a full release in late September.

ZED X ‘THE STORM’ ON HARD ON RECORDINGS – TEST PRESSINGS ARE OUT THERE
Zed X ‘The Storm’ - from producers-of-the-moment Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamaki aka Dirt Devils - delivers 12 inches of throbbingly penetrative dance floor carnage. The A-side combines a dark and driving bassline with a monstrous riff, and the result is a sure-fire hard trance anthem. A more cultured offering graces the B-side via a Jono Grant V P.O.S remix, an uplifting reworking that retains the same hooky riff but which treads a deeper, more melodic path to trance righteousness. Watch out for a mid-September release on Anjunabeats sister label Hard On Recordings, and if you can’t wait til then, check www.chemicalrecords.co.uk to buy one of a limited number of test pressings.

NEW SERAQUE MIX OF OCEANLAB ‘BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER’
After their astonishing remix of Nitromethane ‘Time To Die’, Seraque are back with a banging take on 2003 anthem Oceanlab ‘Beautiful Together’. So far we’ve only given an acetate to Judge Jules and he’s been giving it a thorough work-out in the clubs, but expect a full promo-run of the tune in mid-August.

WE RAID EUPHONIC HQ AND PINCH KYAU & ALBERT ‘VELVET MORNING’
We at Anjunabeats are big fans of the concept of ‘twin towning’, the idea that every city has a sister town in another country somewhere. Tony grew up in Hemel Hempstead, which is twinned with Neu Isenburg in Germany, while Paavo’s home town of Helsinki is paired up with Tallin in Estonia. Jono and James were raised in Plymouth which has a French twin town called Brest – a place which, having been there, is not as nice as it sounds…Anyway, if record labels were twinned, then we reckon our identical sibling would be Euphonic in Germany. With the promise of an Aalto remix as bait, we’ve successfully coaxed Euphonic label boss Ralph Kyau into handing us the rights for the Mirco De Govia remix of Kyau & Albert’s sublime ‘Velvet Morning’ and you should see some promos appear in late August, with a full release in October.

HARD ON SIGNS HOLDERMAN: LEFT/RIGHT SWITCH’
French artist Renaud Greiner may have a left/right switch inside his head, but that didn’t stop him emailing us a demo which stood out a mile in terms of originality and creativity. In a shameless bid to amend Anglo-Franco relations post-Iraq, we immediately signed the tune up for a release on Hard On Recordings.Aged 26, Renaud - also known has ‘Holderman’ - been a musician for more than 20 years. He started with the oboe, studied the piano, and discovered synthesizers as a teenager. He then got into rock music, became a bass player, and went to university where he gained a degree in musicology before returning to his first love, electronic music. Anyway, we’ve goaded the Dirt Devils boys into conjuring up a remix, and you can expect promos of this unique tune to start surfacing around September with a full release due in November.
