React are proud to announce the launch of their Reactivate 12" sub label. The Reactivate series of CD compilations has showcased some of the most groundbreaking trance, techno and hard house over the past decade, and the new 12" label will focus on updating classic tracks with new mixes.
The A&R will be carried out by recent React recruit Simon Eve who is a familiar face on the hard house and trance scenes through his work on the Recharge, Recover and Discover labels.

12 REACT 253 - RELEASED 10 MAY 2004
Kicking off the Reactivate series we have remixes of a 1990's Top 40 dance hit for React, the hardbag anthem 'Joanna' by Mrs Wood.
While the likes of Lisa Lashes and Anne Savage battle it out for female DJ supremacy in 2004, it was Mrs Wood who kick-started the whole 'Girl Power' thing over a decade ago. Who could have guessed back in 1990 that the Barnsley based housewife would ditch the dishes and swap soapsuds for dance clubs in such spectacular fashion? Securing a main floor DJ residency at the legendary FF at Turnmills upon her arrival in London, she soon had a string of releases under her belt, including the groundbreaking 'Mrs Wood Teaches Techno' compilation on React.
The much sought after Tony De Vit remix rubs shoulders with two brand new mixes to bring the track bang up to date for 2004, with hard house legend Ian M taking the sound back underground with a viciously hard remix that's already a firm favourite amongst hard dance scene leaders Lisa Lashes, BK, Paul Glazby and Andy Farley off Test Pressing, while Stevie B from London's Fire, Orange and Fusion nights keeps true to the uplifting vibe of the original with a roof raising remix that will result in a sea of hands in the air out on the more mainstream dancefloors.
Mrs Wood launches her own monthly techno night in May at London's Fire venue in Vauxhall. Think Techno will take place the first Wednesday of every month, and will feature a host of special guests. The opening night on May 5th has Ian M doing an exclusive techno set, June 2nd finds Trevor Rockliffe hitting the decks, and 7th July has Ben Sims headlining.
Coming next on Rectivate we have one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of 2004 - new mixes of the classic 'The Age Of Love', including remixes by Marco V, Mr Sam vs Fred Baker and a bustin' breaks rework by Wrecked Angle. More info and audio links to follow soon!
