Never to be left in the dust nor to let bad things happen without voicing their opinions, the breaks community has joined together to make a CD to help people in Sudan. Check out what's known before the CD gets released
The genocide in Sudan has hit the news of late and many in the music community are standing up and saying "It is time to do something". First it was some rock acts with some electronic acts getting a CD together and now comes word that the breakbeat community is coming out with a CD and this includes some of the heavyweights. The CD will be called "Sudan Break Beat Crisis" and it will be released in the upcoming months. The person that is putting it together is the famous man known as Smiley from the legendary Shut Up and Dance outfit.
Artists that have joined so far include
Aquasky, Audio Bullies, Botchit & Scarper, Freestylers, The Plump DJs, Tayo, DJ Hype, Zinc, Mechanoise, Deekline, Supercharged and Shut Up & Dance.
Word comes that even more artists will sign on shortly and it should make this a huge CD and the proceeds go to helping a war torn country, where some pathetic acts are going on. So as we find out more, we will let you know but it is nice to see the breakbeat community getting involved and all the tracks will be exclusive mixes or exclusive tracks. We here at i:Vibes.nu totally support artists, when they decide to do something to help others like with the problem in Sudan.
To help pledge money for the problem, go to HERE (First put out on djmag.com)
