Spinnin Records continue their onslaught of the dance music scene with yet another great track. Sandler has been knocking out some top remixes recently but here we see his solo work at its best. Read on..
Original Mix: A nice techy trancer which builds up minimally with growing fx and stabs sitting around the solid kick and bass. The break arrives pretty early and initially all drops out other than some haunting pads and minimal fx. As the pads grow, the key changes sit well and increase the emotion within the breakdown. More fx gradually layer up and bring back the kick and bass with great effect. The emphasis is then based around the pads as the tune chugs along well. The pads drop down and we go back to some techy sounds and driving bassline until the rest drops out again and we are treated to part 2 of the epic pad effect breakdown. As the sounds swirl and grow, the tune grows similarly to the first break until it kicks back in and paces along well through till the end.
Sandler Remix: A techy filtered down kick starts this mix before the heavy kick and bass hits in soon after. Haunting noises sit around the tune from the off and some great fx are introduced to heighten the track. The break comes very quick in this mix but is sits in perfectly. As everything drops away, the much more melody based, and powerful lead comes in. Here the true power of the track is felt as it grows and grows. A small teasing kick roll drops the main melody but elements of it are building up around and before long a mini drop brings the it back in fully. It is a simple yet massively catchy lead sound and arrangement that works well. It then drops back into the minimal bass, kick and percussion alonside some great tech fx before the second breakdown where again the brilliant lead melody takes control. As this grows, the anticipation grows with it until when it does kick in, it causes mayhem on the dancefloor!! This then carries us through perfectly till the end of the tune.
Conclusion:
For me the Sandler Remix is by far the better. The combination of techy driving yet still uplifting works perfectly. A solid release again from Spinnin!
