Having recently been made resident at London based hard dance giant Frantic - known for their hugely popular nation and world wide events - you'd expect this to be a little more than your average compilation CD. It seems that, with the help of a few decks, CDJs and a DJM600 mixer, Andy Whitby has strived to make that the case...

As you can see, the tracklisting is rather action packed to say the least - theres a whole load of acapellas thrown into the mix - up to three in a single track at times! Again, after being quoted as "The Saviour of Hard House", you'd be looking for something a bit different. The album thwacks along at a rather pacey 153BPM so its not for the faint hearted. It kicks off with a trancey edge thanks to Monster Hard's Ratty - Sunrise (P.H.A.T.T. Remix) but from then on the tracks get progressively harder, faster and more lively. You do get your occasional breather with a nice trancey breakdown or a quiet spot with a classic acappella thrown in, but on the whole its banging beats and lightning fast synths for the rest of the way. Of course, the variety of tunes and acappellas here is a big focus of the album, but another is Andy Whitby's technical ability. Some hard house purists may criticise his (usually quite vocal) track selection or questionably tuned acappella, but they, or no-one for that matter, can deny the man's skill and technical ability when it comes to just about any piece of DJ equipment. The mixing is spot on, theres never a dull moment, the acapellas never fall out of time and everything flows on flawlessly. Highly recommended to all hard housers out there.

Conclusion:
A fine hard house album indeed. It demonstrates many things - Frantic's style, Andy Whitby's style and also his incredible skill in a frenzied hour or so of action packed beats. One for most hard house fans I'm sure.
