The legendary compilation series that is Global Underground celebrates its 30th release and what better way to do it that enlisting the help of Nick Warren.
The Global Underground series has been going for years. There came a time when I thought we would never see another release due to a few financial worries but thankfully the series is as strong as ever and in very good hands. John Digweed, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold and the late and great ony De Vit have all sprinkled thier magic on the series to make it one of the most respected compilations out there.
It's time for number 30 in the series which will be released to the public next year in February. Nick Warren takes control for this relese and he has chose Paris as his inspiration behind the mixes for the compilation.
""Paris is just a stylish city. It's beautiful. I;ve always gone for the cities that aren't really known as clubland capitals. Paris is the same really. It gives it a bit more of an edge and it means I really have to work at it." Nick Warren
While I've never been to Paris myself I'm sure the backdrops and history of the city is very good inspiration for putting a mix together. The style Nick's chosen for thisd two CD mix is quite varied. The first CD is a smoothly mixed downbeat journey of colourful sounds and dreamy riffs jammed with soothing melodies. The other CD is a journey through groovy minimalistic party sounds a little more upbeat than the first CD, featuring some very fine house music through both the discs.
