The very popular dance music and clubbing magazine Mixmag celebrates its 25th Birthday this year and it will be printing a very special issue this month to celebrate the mile stone. The issue is a sure fire reading essential.
Mixmag have been around for 25 Years and been covering the major stories within Dance music ever since its first issue. Some publications have come and gone but Mixmag has always been on the newsstand awaiting your spare change to be spent on it. It's very special edition which is out in UK stores on the 17th April features interviews from the biggest names in dance to what just makes Mixmag that little bit better than the rest.
In preparation for the issue they have been gathering up who they regard as the 25 greatest icons in dance music for a very special cover foldout. The list is pretty much spot on with Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, LCD Soundsystem, The Prodigy, Moby, Mylo, Richie Hawtin, Roisin Murphy, Dizzee Rascal, Paul van Dyk, Goldie, Sven Vath, Felix Da Housecat, Erick Morillo, Sasha, Faithless, Underworld and many more featured.
The Mixmag site has very special behind the scene interviews from some of those featured on the cover talking about their views on how dance music has changed over the years and their memories of the magazine. They make for very interesting viewing as Goldie, Karl Hyde from Underworld and the mighty Paul van Dyk offering their thoughts.
The magazine should be available overseas but its stree date in the UK is April 17th. Well worth a couple of your hard earned sterling that’s for sure.
