 The mighty Global Underground seems to stream out one essential album after the next and at the end of this month they will be releasing the fourth edition in their 'Mixed' series...
The Progressive sound is really hitting the right buttons at the moment and for those of you looking for where a lot of music has come from over the years should look up the past releases by Global Underground. Their main compilation series is now in its 36th volume with Darren Emerson choosing Bogota as his inspiration for the latest release which is out now and very worthwhile picking up as indeed the previous 35 compilations for all those who love House music, especially the progressive side of it.
The Mixed series is one which Global Underground let loose a whole arsenal of House music sub styles with a bit of vocal energy in there, breaks, progressive and a touch of funk all blended together over a generous offering of discs. The previous release last year came in two editions with the special edition having a fouth bonus disc attached. The freedom with the series is very pane to see with the tracklist on the fourth edition with records from Faithless, Mike Monday, Steve Mac, Darren Emerson with the very talented Jim Rivers and Jay Lumen, The third discs get all retro with a selection of classic old cuts like Joey Beltram's 'Energy Flash' and the downright funky Muzik Matters from X-Press 2.
For those who really love their house you will find some gems in here all mixed up tastefully by the Global Underground team.
