© Marco V Time to check in with the Dutch tech house and trance chap we all know as Marco V. New stuff from his 'InCharge' label heading your way and a competition to win free tickets to next year's 'Energy' event...

The diversity that Marco V has implanted into his musical exploits over the past few years makes him difficult to drop into a firm genre pool. You should have a listen to his ‘The Art Of…’ compilation for a true highlight of what the Marco V sound of today is all about. Before that though, check out what he’s been up to this month with his latest release topping the charts of Holland’s biggest radio station, Slam FM. Not just that, more stuff coming from InCharge, his own label and a video flashback of his album launch party at the Ministry of Sound a little while ago.

'Reaver' No.1 On SlamFM

Having built like the proverbial skyscraper since it went into promotion back in September, ‘Reaver’ - the first track from the label division of Marco’s new TAO concept – hit a big no.1 this week!

On Saturday night it topped Holland’s biggest radio station Slam FM’s playlist dance chart, fending off some not inconsiderable competition from the likes of Swedish House Mafia and a one Mr Guetta. Over the last 10 weeks ‘Reaver’ and the TAO compilation have started to show the first strands of Marco’s new musical methodology. Stay tuned - there’s a whole heck of a lot more to come!

In Charge Stays In Charge!

Using the riff made famous by Felix the Housecat’s ‘Silver Screen, Shower Scene’ track, Marco V & Mohawk’s latest ‘Ego Clash’ has been causing floor-uproar of late. Judge Jules was just the latest to join a host of A-list spinners in support when he played it on his Radio 1 show last Saturday night.

If you’ve not had a listen yet, waste not another moment! Jump straight over to Marco’s SoundCloud page and whilst over there you can check out the fresh-off-the-desk and just-uploaded tracks ‘Contour’ & ‘R.O.U.’ (taken from the forthcoming ‘Autumn EP’).

Just uploaded to Marco V’s YouTube channel is his video diary from the UK launch night of T.A.O. Demonstrating in possibly the clearest way imaginable the musical diversity of Mr V, you can see him work three different set styles in three rooms in one club in one night. Surely some kind of record! From Baby Box to The Bar and then on (after a short unscheduled ‘intermission’ - we won’t spoil the surprise!) to make the main room pound, you can check all the V-action by clicking right here.
