The new artist album from Activa is well underway following on from his outstanding debut 'This World' back in 2009. This time though, you can have a track of yours in there with a remix competition for his forthcoming new track 'Telic'...
Activa is taking on a John Smiths approach to his new artist album, which is due this summer on Discover Records. They of course hosted his first artist album back in 2009 and with Activa stepping into the role John Askew used to do for Discover it's the only label he could ever release the follow up on. The first if you remember was a straight through mixed affair with the singles coming a little while after. While there is a lot of debate on the subject of mixed against single track artist albums with the quality of Activa most trance fans won't mind either way. Personally it just depends on the album but it is nice to have the whole versions there just in case you feel the need for an impromptu mix and want to put the whole track in there.
Activa’s taken the decision to get ‘To The Point’ and deliver his next artist album as single tracks, which makes sense in a scene dominated by digital downloads over its CD counterpart these days. That is the name for this new album ‘To The Point’ and you can expect nothing but up front peak time trance high in the BPM range. He’s no let slip a tracklist for the album yet but he has launched a remix competition for one of the tracks to feature on it.
‘Telic’ is the new banger awaiting budding producers to put there individual stamp on with the chance to get their mix featured on Activa’s forthcoming new album. How to get involved is quite simple, just follow the link below to download the remix pack and fire up your production kit of choice to get started. Check out the track below to just for a sample of what the original sounds like.
