Quite a fitting coincidence I put up this update while enjoying the very latest Solaris International from Solarstone. I can’t shed any more light on what’s coming in the pipeline than is divulged in this monthly update. He’s another new single from his artist album ‘Touchstone’ for you to check out. ‘The Best Way To Make Your Dreams Come True Is To Wake Up’ is the title, which has been minced into a more mouthful friendly ‘The Best Way’. On the road, the man behind Solarstone Rich Mowatt will be joining Armin van Buuren for his first ‘A State Of Trance 550’ party at the Ministry of Sound on the 1st March. Expect that to be a very good night if you can get down.

Touchstone Remixed Released

Last year Solarstone’s third longplayer put the proverbial torch to perceptions of what an EDM album should be. Through tracks like ‘Intravenous’, ‘The Best Way’ , ‘Electric Love’, ‘Twisted Wing’ and its title track, Richard Mowatt displayed an ever-expanded artistic range. Erasing established genre lines it travelled across previously unmapped musical terrain. Now, a year on, its time to revisit that music. Touchstone’s been re-touched! Featuring remixes from Dirty Herz, Vadim Zhukov, Tucandeo, Miss Nine, Klauss Goulart, Dave Horne, Konektiv, Chris Johnson, Elfsong, Royal Sapien, Dennis Sheperd & Piotro.

Solarstone at ASOT#550

It's going to be the biggest thing to hit the UK trance scene this year, it's happening at Ministry Of Sound, London on March 1st, and Solarstone is among the acts hand-picked by Armin van Burren to celebrate the 550th edition of his world-conquering radio show A State Of Trance! Solarstone will be debuting tracks from his brand new album and other Solar-label exclusives at what promises to be a white-hot trance spectacular!

Solaris International Hits AH.FM

Commencing February 6th, Solarstone's weekly Solaris International joins joins forces with the worlds largest online EDM radio station, ah.fm (or afterhours radio to it's family and friends!). Prefer to download? Podcast lovers never fear, the iTunes podcast will be released every Friday, as will the Mixcloud stream. The worldwide FM syndication continues unchanged, and if you so wish you can view the terrestrial network list right nere.

''The Best Way to Make Your Dreams Come True Is To Wake Up' not only claims the 'longest song title in EDM history' title, it is also a lesson in how to cross genre-borders with style. A Richard Mowatt vocalled release is always a treat for Solarstone fans, the track fuses his love of sophisticated melancholic electronica & warm cinematic production. Miss Nine revises the track into a vibrant, clubby prog-house punch-packing, Max Essa provides two contrasting remixes on the italo disco tip whilst Walsh & McAuley provide the big room trance mix. It's available ay iTunes, Beatport and Juno, & the elegant official video is ratcheting up hits here on youtube right about now too...

Ozo Effy - White Wind (Buy / Listen)
A cut from Solarstone's Electronic Architecture 2, 'White Wind' is a beautiful, emotional and chord sweeping big room trance record with layer upon layer of intricate melodies and a sophisticated arrangement. Fresh from recent remixes for Cosmic Gate, Lange, Tiesto & Enhanced, Steve Brian's punchy remix shows why he is tipped for great things.

Konektiv_ - Operator (Buy / Listen)
Konektiv returns to Molecule with some more warped and twisted experimental sounds. 'Operator' is the sound of unpredictable dirty deep progressive house electronica. The 'Into The Deep' version is a slower and even more abstract version.

Gosh 'Burn It Away' (Buy / Listen)
Russian producer gosh has previous releases on Songbird, Ask4 and Tripomatic. 'Burn It Away' is a twisted tough techy trance record, jagged percussion loops and piercing synth lines are the main flavor.

Jahawi - From Narobi To London (Buy / Listen)
'Nairobi To London' is a beautiful melodic trance track produced by Kenya's finest - Jahawi (previous releases on Southern Fried, Insatiable, Solaris). Taken from Solarstone's Electronic Architecture 2 album, the track is deliciously understated progressive trance music at its finest, sweeping pads and sparkling melodies encased in sumptuous production.
