The latest release from Blutonium Records is a production by one of the top producers at the moment, Dirk Adamiak, whom i:Vibes interview not too long ago and also profiled.
This release is the 44th release on Germany's Blutonium Records, one of the most affluent record labels on Europe at the moment, covering DJs from DJ Session One, Thomas Trouble and to DJ Shah, bringing in the harder tip of trance.
Blutonium Boy is a quality pumping trancer for those of you into your Talla 2XLC's, Marc la Cruz, Cosmic Gate's, and Dumonde's out there.
Tracklist:
A1. Thomas Trouble Mix B1. Club Mix
Thomas Trouble is a name relatively new to most people, but he is an upcoming producer from the USA, bringing in a nice remix of Brainshooter, bringing in many different elements into the production.
Starting off as a nice pumping hard trancer, this one envelops in a number of ways. Slowly building up its melody over the course of its 6 minutes or so, and building for about 3 and a half minutes until the nice break which ensues.
Combining elements of breakbeat and trance seems to be doing well in the production arena these days, and this is a nice example of that, with a breakbeaty break building up for half a minute and then pounding it off again into a massively fueled 2-3 minutes till the end. It rolls up and down, taking you on a peak time stormer. This mix is definitely one for the midnight sets and it will wreck the dance floor without a doubt. A top notch production.
Moving onto the B-side is a slightly different production, whereby the breaks samples are still there but more 'pumping' in a way; and this tune just continues rumbling for the entire 5 and a half minutes with the odd "Brainshooter" sample from the male vocals popping in and out throughout the tune. Those 303s pound away at the speakers for about 90% of the track and I can guarantee that anyone who likes hard trance, i.e. Scot Project, Cosmic Gate, Etc, will undoubtedly like this.
Classic rave stuff.
