Maverick Records, the American label which has artists such as Alanis Morisette and Madonna on their roster, is going to release Oakenfold's Bunkka album to the North American crowd.
As we all know, Paul Oakenfold's Bunkka album is set for a release pretty soon on the European side of things, but Maverick Records are putting up a North American release on the label which pushed out Madonna's "What It Feels Like to be a Girl" and many more.
Tracklist for those who didn't catch it last time
"Ready Steady Go" (vocals Asher D) "Southern Sun" (vocals: Carla Werner) "Southern Sun" (Breakz Mix) "Time of Your Life" (vocals Perry Farrell) "Hypnotised" (vocals Tiff Lacey) "Zoo York" "Nixon's Spirit" (vocals Hunter S. Thompson) "Hold Your Hand" (vocals Emiliana Torrini) "Starry Eyed Surprise" (vocals Shifty Shellshock) "Get Em Up" (vocals Ice Cube) "Motion" (vocals Grant Lee Philips) "The Harder They Come" (vocals Nelly Furtado and Tricky)
Expected on June 18th in the USA.
Other releases on the way is Soul Hooligan's "Music Like Dirt" Album. An album of similar sorts to some of Bunkka's material, with some cool remixes, such as Mr. Breaker and Technician's Mix of "Algebra", and also a nice balaeric house track by the name of "Psychedelic Soul".
What just came out is Jose Padilla's "Adios Ayer". Those of you who know Jose Padilla, will know that he is very much into the Ibiza style house and ambience, with past remixes from Chicane and such, making him one of the forerunners of the balaeric beats.
These are all out on Maverick, so for those in North America, this is one to watch for!
