It’s an exciting time for music with so many fresh new releases on the horizon. That word brings us to another fine piece of forthcoming new music from Groove Armada who returns with a brand new artist collection…
If you have been missing the delicious grooves from Groove Armada in recent years then your wait will soon be over as there is new music on the way. The duo Andy Cato and Tom Findlay have a rich musical history going all the way back to 1998 when they released their début artist album ‘Northern Star’. Fast forward 22 years and a few more albums and compilations later they have announced a fresh new album is on its way next month.
The new album takes the world of house into another dimension with 11 fresh new tracks. If you have a look on their Facebook page the guys have been discussing tracks from the album describing their inspirations for the new music. There were no long walks in the countryside for the production of the album just two very talented legends locked away in the basement studio letting their musical imaginations run wild. This really is a very diverse new collection of what could be their best music yet. The name for this new audio delight will be ‘Edge of the Horizon’.
The release comes in many formats to suit the purist and the digital warrior. There will of course be the digital release on all the usual outlets. There will also be the traditional CD featuring all 11 of the new tracks, as well as two 12” Vinyl variants available with one of black wax and the other pressed onto a very funky double coloured LP. Its great to see new albums from Groove Armada and its even better to see these released on such a wide range of media including very collectable vinyl editions. Aside from the music there is also slipmats and other merchandise available to get your mits on.
