Biography:
Way back in 1975, little Alex saw the light of day in Bochum, Ruhrarea, Germany. His passion for music began in his very early years and out of this he developed his own taste for music and his sense for the "special".
While most of the contemporary teenagers were listening 24/7 to "always on my mind" from Pet Shop Boys, "I should be So Lucky" by Kylie Minogue or Milli Vannilli's "Girl You Know I's Tue", Alex Morph got in touch with detroit techno, acid, chicago house and other uprising styles of electronica.
One year later he seized the opportunity to spin the records at the Love Parade in Germany, and many organizers paid attention to him - as a result, he was booked for numerous national and international events.
But then, music started to bore him. At his gigs, frustration came up instead of fun, he actually found himself in a dead end. He missed the kick and he didn't want to drift off with the mainstream.
At the age of 21 he decided to take some time out in order to remain true to himself. He cancelled his performances and refused all offers, using the time to sum up new inspirations and to find his niche in music. After two years of soulsearching passed by and he found a style matching with his identity: the morphsound - a combination of trancy, wobbling, melancholic to progressive structures of sound, supported by groovy, pumping beats, catching every listener - his synthetic empire was born.
His next big step: he changed his management. Under the direction of Woody Van Eyden, Alex Morph reentered the international business with performances in England, Scotland, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland. Now there is only one direction - straight on forward! An enthusiastic crowd of 50.000 at mystery land in Netherlands and 35.000 fanatic people at Trance Energy in Utrecht can't be wrong: Alex Morph is a part of the creme de la creme of the international DJ-scene. He found his home in the label clubbgroove records, where his individual, sensitive and objective understanding of music is highly appreciated: he is assigned as junior A&R and is seeking new material.
Clubbgroove Records offers the best platform for releasing his own productions, in which Alex Morph invests a huge part of his energy and creativity. Alex now has great international success with his both projects "Alex Morph" and "m.o.r.p.h.". The singles m.o.r.p.h. - "Maximum Overdrive" and m.o.r.p.h. - "consequence", coproduced with Ralf Merle and Markus Welt, were licensed worldwide and were established on selected compilations like "Talla 2XLC pres. Techno Club", "Goliath", "Ministry Of Sound", "Euphoria UK" and legendary "Gatecrasher Compilations". Additionally, an exclusive contract with ID-T has been settled.
At the same time of the release of the single "Klangwelt", the just completed Alex Morph logo can be presented: a combination of symbol and writing, referring to the independence and creativity of the artist. His newest single m.o.r.p.h. - "creatures of the sunlight" is nearly finished and will be released as Clubbgroove.
Look forward to this name being bigger in Europe over the next few years!
