Biography:
It all started in the 90’s. Having a big role model like Ben Liebrand, he wanted to do the same. At the age of 16, he got himself some turntables, and he quickly learned the ropes. He even got a sampler, altho mono, but he could do things with it that no one else could do. His first demo that he made with that sampler, was immediately put on a compilation CD, and with that money, he bought himself better equipment.

1995 was the year where Armin had his first vinyl release ever. His biggest record up to date is Blue Fear, that is still being played this very day. It had a UK chart entry, and it was included on Sasha & Digweed’s Northern Exposure 2 compilation, as the last track on CD2. So he got recognition from the world’s best DJ’s. James Holden played it also in his Essential Mix on Radio1, just to show that the track is still in favour with a lot of DJ’s, and with the crowd of course.

1999 was another big year for Armin, it was the year where his own label Armind was born. With releases as Gig – One, Rising Star – Touch Me (an Armin alias), and Alibi – Eternity (Armin together with Tiësto). So far there has been already 10 releases, and the next one is coming, under the Perpetuous Dreamer alias. Which is already being played by big DJ’s.

But Armin isn’t solely a producer, he is also a in demand mixer, with remixes for Wamdue Project, Ayumi Hamasaki (the Japanese Britney you could say), and many others.

He has been playing all over the world in the last two years, so far he has played in Passion, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Slinky, Peach, …

You’d better keep an eye out, cause 2002 will be his year!
