Biography:
Tim Healey has been one of the forerunners of the DJ and production circuit, having established a name in the industry alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Satoshi Tomiie, John Digweed and more. His style of house and dance has been nothing but addictive on the dancefloors and his main focus has been his solo "Electric Tease" project.
After a short stint at Sony’s London Studios in the early 1990s he turned
his hand to a number of dance genres, but settled on the ‘deep house’ sound:
“It’s a sound where there are actually surprisingly few boundaries but
most importantly it is ‘big sound-system music’. I’ve written all kinds of stuff, but the sound I keep returning to is the hypnotic end of house where the groove is effortless, but the dance-floor is manipulated by the
most current production around.”
Tim’s main focus is his solo project; Electric Tease. His first track ‘Your Lovin’ was snapped up by Automatic who commissioned a stunning tribal house remix from Omid. John Digweed swiftly grabbed the tune for his Global Underground ‘L.A.’ compilation at the beginning of 2001. The track was recently chosen to be aired on CBBC 1’s infamous ‘Byker Grove’!!
From then on, there has been much success for Tim and more productions and remixes are to come, diversifying his sound into 2002 and beyond.
