Biography:
After having a chance at the turntables, John Digweed started his own club night at the Crypt in Hastings, entitled Bedrock. During that time he sent promo tapes to every promotor, every club owner, just to get a chance to spin somewhere important.

His big chance finally came when he got a residency in Renaissance, which would become one of the most famous clubs in the world. Especially John Digweed combined with Sasha would attract a lot of music minded people.

Sasha and Digweed must have hit it on, cause in 1996 they brought out the first club mix ever: Renaissance, The Mix Collection. It features a lot of songs spread over 3 CD’s, like Leftfield – Song For Life, Sunscreem – Perfect Motion, M-People – Renaissance, Moby – Go, Age of Love – Age of Love, and a lot of other songs. That album has become one of the most wanted albums in the dance scene.

But it wouldn’t be until the Northern Exposure series that fame was brought to John Digweed and Sasha. Their first release was in 1996, and the first CD of it is pure ambient trance, mixed perfectly, while the second CD, is more progressive, the stuff we are used to.

After that first instalment, another 2 releases came, in 1997 and in 1999. That series has sold more then one million copies worldwide.

While that all happened, he produced under the Bedrock disguise, and had a lot of big hits with Nick Muir. They also remixed a lot.

Last year (2001), John Digweed was voted the best DJ in the world by Djmag. So you know what to expect when you go see him.

He recently embarked on a whole new mission, the Delta Tour, with it’s own soundsystem. Sasha & Digweed are going to the US and Canada on the Delta Tour to play at numerous venues.
