Hi all,
This month as been a very good month in respect of djing and landing my self a brand new position with Abora and Connected Recordings.......
Staring off where I finished last time, I had the pleasure of playing one of favourite venues at the end of July, Passion @ The Emporium in Coalville, Leicester... and what an enjoyable experience it was so massive thanks to all that came and showed your support!
After Passion it was a mad dash up the M1 to Fixation @ The Venue, Long Eaton... on arrival the club was very busy and had a cracking vibe, this club goes from strength to strength, I will be returning back at Fixation on the 11th September along side The Digital Delinquents.
Ibiza was my next stop off, this was my second season in Ibiza, last year I played for white island legends Tonic at there closing party @ Eden.... I thought that would be hard to top! But this season I was invited to play the first of hopefully many Moo's Cruise boat parties.
We set off at San Antonio harbour at 5pm, I was first to play and what a mad experience it was, it wasn't the boat jumping the waves that I thought would make the needle jump it was the cross winds every time we took a turn.
Not that easy to do but very enjoyable, at one point the boat pulled in to a cave and the music just came alive like it would in a cathedral. A truly awesome experience. Next up was Above & Beyond (Jono Grant & Pavo), Got to say these boys rocked it, so a massive hello to them guys, they are wicked!
Back now in the UK and ive been working on few tracks in the studio trying to find a new sound....
Mine and John O'Callaghans track "Mechanical Dreams" as been passed on the some the biggest dj's on the scene, so im awaiting a response back from them.
Djs already got back to me was Jon O'Bir, Nick Riley (Riley & Durrant) and the Motion Recordings Boys who loved the track, so massive thanks for your support!!
I have just landed the new head of A&R job for Abora and Connected Recordings so im very pleased about that, any body wishing to send me trance material for reviewing in respect of a signing cam get in touch with me at john@djstjohn.co.uk I will listen and reply to all.
This week (28th August) its Hotdog @ The Venue, Long Eaton where im monthly resident, you can catch me in the trance room 3am -4am and then on Sunday @ S.O.S. @ The Emporium, Ripley. Also at Stevefields, Swindon on Sunday Night.
So until next time..........
