After a busy few months I sign to tell you what I’ve been doing production and djing wise.
Last time I wrote in my diary I was just about to appear on the Riley & Durrant show on Galaxy 105, and what an amazing experience it was! The show went out to over 80,000 people so many thanks to every body that tuned in, also massive thanks to Andy Durrant and Nick Riley for being the perfect hosts.
My residency at Hotdog gets better, the last event I was joined by Adam Sheridan and Shan from Northern club Good Greef, and what a good night it was. From the start to finish there was a brilliant atmosphere and the crowd was up for it!!
Our event Shushh on the 13th November proved trance is far from dead to which we had near on capacity in the venue. Matt Hardwick, The Thrillseekers and John O’Callaghan joined my self and other resident Danny M in the main room, whilst downstairs in the funky room we was joined by Birmingham’s finest funk dj Steve Kelley with Horris James. Room 3 was the Shushh competition room where 8 djs from all corners of the UK battled it out for a residency at Shushh, amongst those djs was Aled Mann and Dewi Roberts, both djs that are making a mark on the trance scene, Aled currently has had success with a track with Activa called In Essence, which is out now on Somatic Sense www.somaticsence.com / www.aledmann.com
So massive thanks to all that came along and showed their support, the next Shushh will be around the end of February 05 so watch out www.shushh.com
Fixation was my next point of call where I was joined with resident John Wright for a special b2b session where we filled in for 6 hours of the finest none stop trance.
You can catch me back at Fixation on New Years Eve where AJ Gibson, Digital Delinquents, Yaz will join me, John Wright to name a few, all details of the event and tickets can be found at www.clubfixation.co.uk
On the production side Mechanical Dreams by myself and Irish star John O’ Callaghan is still not signed but getting support from some of the biggest djs on the scene. Magetika was a remix myself and Locust (Perry O Neil) did for Marc West and Genix which is finally out on Equilibrium Records, so keep an eye out for that.
My own production Elemental is 90% finished so I will post a link of a sample as soon as I’m done.
Future projects include collaborations with Aled Mann and also Dutch producer Mark Sixma, so im looking forward to that.
As always keep an eye out on my site www.djstjohn.co.uk where you can find updates, a message board, guest book and my weekly chart etc.
Thanks for reading and hope to see you soon….
St John
