Having had a few UK gigs recently ( all hard dance) that have gone very well i am finally relaxing on a weekend off when my phone rings (7pm) and im asked if i want to go to dj in Miami with Steve Lawler and Danny Tenaglia on the 4th july. Im shocked its 2 days away and i have to pack everything up and go to the airport first thing in the morning to play one of the biggest events in the USA calender.

05:30 - My mom and dad take me down to Heathrow airport as that is the closest that flys directly to Miami. Its a 2 hour journey which would be longer if it wasnt first thing in the morning. By 08:30 im saying goodbye to them and its tearful because with my mom and dad there its always hard becuase they worry.

The flight was very good it was about 9 hours long but they had many films showing on the screens in the back of the seats so i could watch loads i hadn't seen before (some were not even released yet)

15:00 (miami time) - I meet Hudson who is oraganising all of this and we go for a little shop before i head to the hotel (which is really nice) and fall asleep watching baseball.

Im up early because of the time difference so i take advantage of this and go and sun bathe for a bit before i have a hectic evening.

20:00 - I grab some room service to make sure i have eaten before i go on as im not on till 11 but i have to make sure i have all i need.

22:00 - I do one final check that i have everything and then head to the club (nikki beach) to find out where i am playing. I wil be upstairs in a bit called the Pearl club just before Danny Tenaglia.

23:00 - The booth is right behind the bar on a higher tier. Its a great place becuase you can see the whole crowd. Its nice to see everyone going nuts infront of me. Sadly its a rotary mixer that i have to use which i have never used before but it was ok because i sorted it out and the set went amazingly well. Everyone said they loved it afterwards.

Again i get up very early at 08:00 so i grab breakfast via room service and go out to grab a tan again on the balcony. Its a nice relaxing day today shopping and tv watching.

Today i find out im about to play one of Miami's biggest gay clubs, Score. And also that there is going to be a full page advert in the newspapers and magazines about it. Later on i go for a swim before heading back to my romo and finding out that London have won the bid for the olympics in 2012.

Im a little sad im missing my sisters birthday but i have talked to her and she understands so thats ok we can make up for it when im back. Its hurricaine day today so i stay in and wait for it to pass. It didnt come close but it was still rather scary as it smashed loads in the hotel. I venture out at 20:00 to find a lovely ice cream parlour which has every flavour you could ever want and i make myself feel sick with so much ice cream.

We meet with the Crobar promotor at 18:00 to discuss tonights gig and see where i shall be playing. I will be in the Ultra VIP room from 1-2am which is where Morillo etc have played so thats brilliant.

01:00 - I take over from the dj and turn it up with some nice tech house beats for an hour. When i finish i am asked to go back on at 03:00 and play for a bit longer so i chill with the crowd for an hour then go back on. When i am done the whole place erupts and people are cheering for me, shaking my hand and hugging me. Its a very nic atmosphere

We head to club score and head upstairs to the room ill be in. Its a lovely club the upstairs room looks down on the downstairs so we can see they having it large while we have it large. Im doing a 6 hour set so i progressive is slowly over the course of the night and by the end of it i am very tired and wanting my bed. I fly back to england the next day so i sleep on the plane.
