Produced by Meshell Ndegeocello, Ron Blake's newest release, Sonic Tonic, fuses the diversity of musical flavors that Blake has brought to his work with Christian McBride, Yerba Buena and Ndegeocello's Spirit Music Sextet, as well as on his own critically acclaimed projects. Sonic Tonic is unique in that it is a two disce set the first being straight jazz and then a second disc of remixes from acfcomplished DJ'd such as DJ Carlos Mena, DJ Spinna (Michael Jackson, De La Soul, Mos Def, Mary J. Blige), Jahi Sundance, Transdub Massiv, and Osunlade (Lauren Hill, India Arie, Eric Benet).
