It’s time to gear up for the biggest and most influential poll in dance music — DJmag’s Top 100 DJs 2008. It’s shaping up to be the biggest year yet with this year’s poll powered by Trackitdown — which means a free download for everyone who votes!

And co-ordinated voting amongst DJmag’s sister magazines — now in print in Brazil, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Mexico — could lead to some surprise results.

Trackitdown.net’s Ed Real commented: “Trackitdown is to proud be partnering DJmag in this truly global poll, the industry barometer of who’s hot. As Trackitdown strives to deliver the best electronic music to DJs all over the world, the fit is perfect.

“By offering each voter a free track to download from our catalogue of 350,000 titles from over 10,000 labels, we can demonstrate how easy it is to find your favourite electronic music legally.

“We hope that the Top 100 DJs 2008 powered by Trackitdown will be the biggest international celebration of dance culture in the history of the poll.”

In a bid to create a level playing field, a votes canvassing kit will also be made available to every DJ. The DiY resource package — available from djmag.com from 25th July — includes personalised banners, logos and everything else DJs need to get started.

Voting in this year’s Top 100 DJs Poll begins on 1st August and ends 24th September. Simply go to the DJ Mag website to vote for your dancefloor heroes.
