Recently crowned “Best Record Shop in the World” by DJ Magazine , Phonica is London’s leading electronic music shop and vinyl emporium. Phonica opened in 2003 and quickly established itself as a hub for everything dance music related. A breeding ground for talent - former staff include Heidi who now has her own show on Radio 1, Hector (Mobilee & 2020 Vision), Anthea (Cecille & Mojuba), Will Saul (head honcho of the Aus & Simple empire) & James Priestley (Secretsundaze) - and a meeting point for DJs and producers alike.

To celebrate their 8th Birthday, this pioneering London institution has assembled a line-up that demonstrates why they’re still at the cutting edge almost a decade on.

They welcome one of the original crew Heidi who returns to London with her night, The Jackathon. Celebrating the launch of her acclaimed mix-cd of the same name, The Jackathon is all about bass-heavy, booty-shakin’ house. It’s traveled from Miami to Berlin and beyond and now is back in London.

Phonica & The Jackathon will be joined for this party by London’s leading house label (and good friends of the shop) and some very special guests.

The response to Phonica’s 8th Birthday with Leftroom and Jackathon as been nothing short of phenomenal! All the early birds tickets have sold out, all 2nd release tickets sold out and 3rd release going fast!

Soho has steadily established himself within the London underground scene. Born & raised in the middle east, growing up in a region not really known for its pioneering electronic sound, yet he was still able to find music that would inspire him within his parents record collection.

An avid collector of music from a young age, everything from pop through to jazz, disco, rock and hip hop - As a vinyl purist it was a natural progression for Soho to move on to spinning records in 1999. Since then his eclectic DJ sets have been a mixture of deep, groovy, house & techno as well as everything in between! His sets are always catered for the right moments, either for a warm up set or at peak time.

Making a move to London in 2003 to go to art school and study photography,but also to submerge himself into London's underground nightlife and pursue his passion for music. Starting out as resident of the Multi-Vitamins collective along side other established artists like; Cesar Merveille, Argy, ekkohaus, arnaud le texier & the Italoboyz, to name a few. Now you can catch Soho regularly playing all over London, either as a resident for Phonica records, or at east end warehouse parties, or manning the turntables at various other London venues.
