Post subject: Sander Van Doorn talks to his fans at Godskitchen |

|
So we recently did an interview with Sied Van Riel whereby you, the people conjured up the questions. Well now we've done it again with fellow flying dutchman - Sander Van Doorn. Check it out!
Where do you see Dance music evolving to in the future? Shaun Kennedy
Hi Shaun. Well, I don’t have a crystal ball, but it seems at the moment that dance music is cross over quite a bit. This isn’t anything new, but I guess more people are understanding where it’s coming from. I definitely see DJs taking more musical risks, playing great music no matter the genre!
Would you go back to playing vinyl for one night? Phil Howe
Hi Phil. I loved playing on vinyl, and would consider playing it out again. I don’t think the musical selections I’d have to play would be very current though!
Why has Sander moved towards the more euphoric side of trance compared to his electro sound earlier in his career? Rick Seymour
Hi Rick. I wouldn’t say that I have moved in any particular direction. I don’t think that ‘Intro’ or ‘Koko’ are euphoric My new Mumford and Sons bootleg is pretty hard as well.
Why has the Netherlands in particular produced such a concentration of high quality DJs? Tom Conniffe
Hi Tom. I think there is something in the water!
What are your opinions of Hardstyle and Gabba and would you consider making a track from one of these genres as a one off? Aaron Jordan
Hi Aaron. I actually do like some of the hardstyle stuff and was really into Gabba when I first started going out. I wouldn’t say I’d never make a track in that style, but I can’t really see it happening anytime soon!
You spend a lot of time flying. What are your 3 essentials for your man bag on a long haul flight? Iggly Wiggly
Nice name! Clean shirt, deodorant and toothbrush
Will Riff or The Bass be played at Global Gathering this year? Allan Evans
Hi Allan. I guess you will have to be there to find out!
What is your favourite ever track? Asish Sukhraj
Hi Asish. Well, this is a hard one because there are so many great tracks. One of my personal all time favs is Jeff Mills, The Bells.
How do you like your eggs in the morning? John Durkin
Hi John. I prefer a nice steak!
What was your inspiration for the track Intro – The XX? Julian Santelli
Hi Julian. Well, I love the XX album and just thought that would make a great track to play out. It has a darkness to it that I love.
What is your musical guilty pleasure? Robin James
Hi Robin. Opera. No, not really! I don’t really have one. I have watched the X Factor though- does that count?
What is your favourite flavour of crisps? Robin James
Hi again Robin. Whatever is in the minibar!
What sort of set can we expect at Dusk Till Doorn? Naveed Khaliq
Hi Naveed. Well, I play an extended set, so you can expect a beginning, middle and an end! I will probably start a bit more housey and build up from there. Of course, every night is an experience, so you’ll have to come hear a Dusk Till Doorn night for yourself!
Who is your favourite DJ? Daniel Carter
Hi Daniel. My local fav is Benny Rodrigues.
