A look back at one of the closing weeks of this years party season on the white isle of Ibiza...
September 5th to September the 12th were special days for me this year. They were the days I'd spend my first ever outing to the Spanish island of Ibiza! The mecca of world clubbing had a bit of a shaky start this year with some big named clubs being shutdown but rest assured they were back up and in business in time to see the season into full swing. Various reports over the summer confirmed this, so there was everything to look forward to during the final weeks of the season.
With only a week to take as much in as possible, the holiday began at pretty much full speed by visiting the world's biggest club, Privilege, to see Mauro Picotto put on one of his awesome Meganite events. Within 3 or 4 hours of steppiong off the plane, we were stepping into another world full of clubbers, massive djs and the most crisp sound systems pumping out deep, dark, techno rhythms.
Incredible.
The next day was no different. The famous Amnesia club was absolutely packed to the rafters and beyond for Paul van Dyk's set at the Cream event. Lights and lasers that were out of this world basically engulfed you for the energetic 6 hours you'd spend inside.
The 3rd night was a rather special one. DJs and promoters Simon PIsani and Lizzie Curious, from Cheltenham UK, had a very special event, named Break Out, lined up in Ibiza's only clubber oriented hotel - the luxurious Es Vive. From midnight to mid morning, Es Vive was rocked by talented DJs from Cheltenham and around the UK, providing some downright wicked and dirty electro house all though the night. The break Out party atmosphere coupled with the fantastic environment provided by Es Vive meant for an astounding night. People were flooding through the doors way past 6am. Absolute insanity and absolutely the best place for it! What a night!

A restful Saturday saw rise to another trio of intense Ibizian activity. Judge Jules and Sander van Doorn rocked the walls (and sound system - ouch) of Eden. Roger Sanchez played a blinding and enrapturous 7 hour set at Pacha and Carl Cox closed his night at Space with explosive style in a display of insane lasers, lights, smoke and pyrotechnics.
And finally... Some shots to enjoy...

Roll on next year...
