Biography:
Born in 1971 in Germany, Paul was born under the socialistic reign. But still he worked out to be one of the leading DJ’s in the world, having one big hit after the other, making numerous remixes for everyone, and having his own label called Vandit.

At the age of 19, he arrived in Berlin, just when the scene was starting to develop. But Paul didn’t find there what he liked, he felt that their was something missing. Warmth, emotions, feelings, and much more. So he started to put mix tapes together, and some friends of him recommended him to a promotor and soon he got his first chance behind the wheels of steel. He DJ’ed for the first time at ‘Turbine’ in 1991, and it was the start of a successful career.

Soon, his reputation exceeded himself, and he got to play at renown clubs like ‘Tresor’ and ‘E-Werk’, where he invited other DJ’s like Carl Cox, Sasha and John Digweed.

1992 was another important year, he met Cosmic Baby, with who Paul produced clubhits like ‘Perfect Day’ and ‘How Much Can You Take’ under the ‘Visions Of Shiva’ guise.

1994 was the year where he started to release under his own name, ‘The Green Valley EP’ was his first release under his own name ever. 45 RPM, his first album, was released in the same year, and got a lot of attention.

7 Ways was his second album, released in 1996, and this led to a whole new status for Paul, interviews, tv-appearances, … ‘Forbidden Fruit’ was one of the songs on ‘7 Ways’.

Vorsprung Dyk Technik was a compilation with a lot of remixes Paul made between 1992 and 1997, released on both CD and vinyl.

2001 was the year were he released ‘The Politics Of Dancing’ a 2xCD compilation, with all the tunes Paul loved, and which he all remixed and reworked for the album.

In 2003 he released his Paul van Dyk - Global Album with a DVD to go with it. The CD consisted of Paul's favourite tracks from over the years all on one special disc, and as a bonus all in special 5.1 surround sound format.

Now Paul is considered to be one of the best DJ’s to walk on this planet, playing in every country in the world.
