The announcement was made today from the Tidy camp that they have found a new venue for the weekender next year after the closure of Pontins which left them high and dry for a venue for this year…
The Tidy weekender has had a disruptive path back after being planned for a rebirth in 2020 which never came about due to the explosive Covid pandemic. It finally made a return for 2021 back at its original home on the Pontins holiday camp in Prestatyn. The event has been back for the past two years and there was one scheduled for 2024 until the news of the closure of Pontins,. Now, the closure of Pontins was not a surprise really, the holiday camp’s venues across the UK were very bad, good for a weekender where you just want to get pissed and enjoy some beats but not great for a week away with the family.
The news of the parks closure came as a shock to Tidy as they had sold the majority of the tickets, chalets and had some serious preparation sorted for the event. With the announcement came a rush around to source a new venue for this year, one given the timescale was just not possible. The weekender for 2024 was cancelled, much to the disappointment of the Tidy faithful and those who had bought tickets.
That’s the bad news. The good news is the weekender will be back for 2025 as the Tidy guys and found a brand new venue suitable for 2000 hard House nuts to go wild for a weekend in. The new venue goes to the south of England at the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth during the 25th, 26th and 27th of July. The skip this years also means that it will be the 30th anniversary for Tidy so you can expect some very special things to come over the three days in 2025.
All the information on tickets and those who already have bought for 2024 will be coming in from the Tidy channels in the next few weeks so keep an eye on your inboxes and on the Tidy socials.
