This new Armin production exceeded a lot of expectations but disappointed a few aswell. Read on to know why…
The latest Armin Van Buuren production has been released last week, and will be a big tune like a lot of other Armin productions or remixes.
“2002 will be the year of Armin”, is what a lot of people are claiming, and so far it looks promising. With a few remixes so far: Solid Sessions – Janeiro, Shane – Too Late To Run. And it’s been only a little over a week when Armin presented his new mix compilation, the fourth in his series, entitled Armin Van Buuren 004 – Transparance.
Tracklisting: A: Dust.wav (Armin Van Buuren’s Rising Star Mix) B: Dub.wav
A: Dust.wav (Armin Van Buuren’s Rising Star Mix) Starting off with a typical Armin beat, and little melody, this is promising. A lot of different elements are being added throughout the song, such as some vocals, but they aren’t very clearly yet. The melody kicks in, and it’s a typical ‘Armin’ melody, but shortly after that melody, there’s the breakdown, with the vocals.
And the vocals in MY opinion, don’t match the track, they sound cheesy to me, but I’ve heard a lot of different opinions, and either you like the vocals, or you don’t, and I for one, don’t like them, so my preference goes to the dub.
And ending the song with a nice melody again.
On to the dub…
Dub.wav This starts of on the same style as the A-side, but this isn’t just a dub, it has a few more elements in it, and it doesn’t contain the vocals that are used on the Dub.wav.
Conclusion: if you are a sucker for vocals, then you’ll love the Dust.wav, but if you aren’t, then you won’t, but you’ll like the Dub.wav more.
Let me know what you think of the vocals.
Conclusion:
