Push did it again, turning a breakbeat song into a huge uplifting song, with the abilities to top all the charts.
The Finnish duo who had massive hits with ‘Freestyler’, ‘Uprocking Beats’, ‘B-Boys, Fly Girls’, just released another song called ‘Live Your Life’, and they gave Belgian producer/DJ M.I.K.E. the chance to do his magic.
Did he succeed???
Tracklisting:
a1: Push Club Remix a2: Push Transcendental Remix b1: Fu-Tourist Remix b2: Modulation Remix
a1: Push Club Remix Push does what he does best, making remixed that turn heads when you hear it in a shop, club or somewhere else. And this is no exception. From the start on, he uses his skills to form a unique sounding track, complete with a starting melody, a nice beat, and a lot of different layers. The vocals ‘you gotta live your life’ were kept for this track, and I must admit that they do fit the track. The other vocals, the rap weren’t kept, and I think it was a wise decision to do so.
And after the short breakdown, the melody starts, and it’s all good. Trance to the max This track has everything one could wish for.
a2: Push Transcendental Remix Starting off the same way as the Push Club Remix, but changing over the entire course of the track, this is more trancier, and most people think that this remix is the better one of the two, and I agree. This song/remix is so good that it even made Tune of the week last week.
b1: Fu-Tourist Remix b2: Modulation Remix These two remixes aren’t trance, so I will not be reviewing these. Just want to say that they are quite good if you like drum’n’bass or breakbeat.
Overall: The Push remixes are bliss, and you should get this song on 12”.
