Two thriving hard trance productions which have been doing the rounds in clubs over the past couple of months...
Everyone's been playing this. Overkill especially has had a good caning from the likes of DJ Tiesto. Already out on the SILVER PREMIUM label:
A1: Mark Norman - Return 2 Eden B1: Mark Norman - Overkill
A1: Mark Norman - Return 2 Eden This starts off really pumping. There's an excellent energetic flow of rythmatic beats giving the feeling / sounding of energy. After about a minute into it, it starts to get going as the whole thing comes together with a gently melody in the background gradually getting a little louder and clearer. A couple of minutes later is the first breakdown, full of uplifting synths playing which are very chilled and relaxed... as it gradually gets more soothing... it then starts to build up firstly with a wicked reverbing effect gradually helping to pick up the pace again with a drum roll to top it off before it kicks off into back into an electrifying energetic piece of music
B1: Mark Norman - Overkill Again its straight in there with a nice hardish pumping beat. There's a nice combination of effects and whispering kind of sounds which come into play as it gets going. A minute and a half later comes in the main sound which helps make the track complete. Its very unique and hard to explain. Its a repeating stabbing sound. The soothing synth melody comes in shortly after which helps to make this a little uplifting at the same time as hard. This really is quite different from anything else which I have heard and it sounds fantastic!
Conclusion
Two excellent productions combining the qualities of both uplifting and Hard Trance. The name Return to Eden is mirrored within the breakdown of the tune its self reminding or showing us what Eden is like. The flipside is easily as great. Definitely worth buying... 9/10
