Solar Stone is back, with this highly anticipated release. It is in the same style of Seven Cities, so it MUST be good… But it is good or did they ‘remake’ Seven Cities?
Seven Cities is without a doubt one of the most known tunes that has been released in the trance scene. Those strings, those enchanting vocals, and the dreamy melody, all made this song to be one of the top releases ever.
And now, they are back, with Solarcoaster, that aims for the same target! And it has done that already: being played by Armin Van Buuren on his weekly ID&T show ‘A State Of Trance’ and featured on DJ Tiësto’s new mix album – In Search Of Sunrise. Things look promising…
Tracklisting: A: Solarcoaster B: Greenlight
A: Solarcoaster Dreamy, spacey piano sounds at the start. And shortly after that, the beat begins, and some more layers are added, but there’s no special melody, YET. In the 3rd minute, you can hear a breakdown, with a woman saying stuff like ‘You’re so cool’. And after those vocals, you hear the melody, and it just makes you close your eyes, so you can fully concentrate on the melody. It keeps on going at it, just till the end of the song, it keeps that feeling you get, the feeling that this song will be HUGE, and you kinda hope that it wont be huge. Otherwise it might get overplayed. This surpasses Seven Cities in my opinion.
And it has that I(biza):Vibes to it :)
B: Greenlight Ibiza!!! Is the word that comes to mind when this song starts. A woman saying ‘High’ followed by some male vocals, but you can’t hardly understand it. And then that woman again, and you can hear throughout the rest of the song. Moreover a male vocal creeps into the music, with some fairly deep meaning vocals about 'being happy with yourself, and you're not on this world to collect wealth …', yet they dont detract any attention away from the music instead add and give the track and extra edge, that makes it all the better. I can imagine this song to be played in a lot of clubs on the party island.
Overall: WOOOOOOOOOOOW, nuff said.
