One of the great masters of Techno circuit is DJ Rush, here he does a quick question and answer session with i:Vibes, giving a nice introduction of what he is about and where his music stands at.

i:Vibes: Where do you originally come from?
Rush: I came from Chicago.

i:Vibes: How did the carrier of Dj Rush start (Where did you start spinning your

Rush: The man himself started playing with turntables at the age of 10 thats
1980 when I was 11 my mother bought me my first real decks, sl1200. When
i was 12 I was playing for small parties around the neighborhood and for
local grammar school parties, some hight school parties, I also landed a
small gig in a small after school office. On weekends it was a club for
ages 15 and older.

i:Vibes: How did you come to germany?

Rushthe same faces. Things wasn't moving in the direction I wanted to go,
very one wanted to stay with what they knew and the scene started to
divide and I was growing beyound my time, I was more advance for Chicago
life and I needed to move on and experiance a whole new world. I was
booked to play in german a lot. Hessen area, some time in Berlin, koln
etc. But people knew me, but not as much as now. I was recieving so much
love from the german public and I was having the time of my life to play
my record in germany, I was able to me and feel free. So I decided one
day I need to move from Chicago if I wanted to move forward and meet new
people, so I decided germany would be the place for me.

i:Vibes: Wasn't it difficult to give up your life in the states and to go to
a different country?

Rush: I was hard to leave my family, but I have a close family who loves and
support me, I had a talk with my mother for hours and we decided together
that it should just get up and give it a try. My mom has been behind me
from the first day and she still is. When you have such a beautiful and
wonderful mother like me, you can accomplish so much, because she pushed
me and guided me for so many years and she is still a big part of my
career and success. But to leave my home town wasn't so hard because we
all need changes in life, and with out changes you will never progress
and move forward. But I still have love for home, because Chicago is my
birth place and my family is here.

i:Vibes: Do you like germany?

Rush: No why would you ask me that question kekekekekekekekekekeke, I think if
I didn't like germany I wouldn't be spending as much time as I do in
Germany. Germany is wonderful. It's a country with it's own unique style
and character. I love the fact that I can feel relaxed and make so many
good friends here, because with a history that germany has, lots of
people have grown to except you for you, but still it needs a little
work, just like america do, but germany is great. Im having the time of
my life here. Im just living it day by day and taking things as they
come. I think about the day I will no longer be in Germany as much as I
am now, and I do get sad, but like I said, you need changes to grow and I
know I will how to move on.

i:Vibes: You are travelling all around the world, every day you are meeting new
people. Wouldn't you like to make a long holiday soon, without stress?

Rush: I would love to take a long holiday and just enjoy me, but it's not
possible, because after my fun over the weekends with the public and the
fans, I come home to Chicago for one month to relax, but Im away so long
so I must spend most of my time with my family and I love this, but then
I get phone calls all the time about this and that oooh remix this oooh
you have a dead line, or demos. I can't escape from the busines when Im
in Chicago, some one is looking and trying to catch you. I need to be
surprised and taking away for a week or two just away from djing and
home. But I promised myself that next year things will change, because I
need to focus more on myself, health and family.

i:Vibes: If yes who do you take with you and where would you go?

Rush: Can't answer that because I don't go anywhere, this is sad:-(

i:Vibes: On what are you working at the moment?

Rush: At the moment im working on hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It should be a secret, but
the only thing I will say is..... It's no shame in my game

i:Vibes: When can we enjoy your next production?

Rush: You can start to enjoy some new productions around the end of June, but
the real killers will be in september like I said there's no shame in my
game, hehehe

i:Vibes: What was the nicest moment in your life?

Rush: I have so many nicest moments to many to say or to name.... I can say
just having nice conversation with my people, the fans the people who
support me. I love to have sit and talk to someone one on one, and not
only talk about me, and my music, I like to flip the subject and put the
spot light on them and see whats in their head and this is so beautiful,
because we all need to let something out and im a person that is easy to
talk to, but don;'t piss me off. hehehe
i:Vibes: Who do you admire?

Rush: My mom and the strenght that she has, I sometimes worry about her because
she does so much and I feel like why should I complane about life,
because she lives a hard life and full of stress. She is number one, I
look at my life and I see my mom. Always.....

i:Vibes: Do you have a motto of life?

Rush: Walk straight, be proud, because the world is watching. Just be yourself
and live life to the limit.

i:Vibes: Where do you love most to spin your decks?

Rush: I love to play in the east of germany, because the people are full party
people and they don't care about if you're to hard or to soft, like some
parts of germany, they just party and sweat. I have much respect for the
party people in the east, the location are always dark and underground, I
also love the way they dress, they are up for clubbing..... I also
love the east countries dammmmmmmmmm they party oooh my god.... Let me
add this, some people from the other side of germany always say to me
oooh rush the east people are so stupid and the reason why they party so
hard is because they never had this music before, I always say to these
people, it stupid to call someone else stupid just because there having
fun, what makes you better than them?, I enjoy them and the way the party
and I wish more areas could get off there ass's and learn how to party
like the way they do. Lets all just get alone and have fun.....

i:Vibes: What do you like best -
intimate clubs or big Techno Events like Nature One or Sonne, Mond und

Rush: I like intimate club, because I can be with the people and feel them and
the vibe on a more closer level, I also like big events also, because I
can play my music for a larger audiance and give them a taste of my
ENERGY and I can feel the ENERGY from the screaming crowd. There a
feeling from all kinds of event. Big, small it all has a special vibe.

Thanx to Seb who helped me with that.
