Another release from Belgian producer M.I.K.E. a.k.a. Push, Plastic Boy, … This time together with Paul Mendez.
Mike has got to be one of the busiest guys in the world, it seems to me that he releases a new record every other day. Plastic Boy – Silver Bath wasn’t released that long ago, his remix of Jens Lissat – Energy Flow under the Plastic Boy guise was released just a few weeks ago, and now, he releases another bomb on the Camouflage label.
Tracklisting: A1: Magic Impuls (Original Mix) B1: Magic Impuls (Jacob & Mendez Remix)
A1: Magic Impuls (Original Mix) Starting off in the typical Mike way: a beat, some background noises, and a few different layers. Shortly after that, you can ‘see’ the first footsteps of the new born melody. Building the melody up, till it all comes together and erupts in your face… MIKE style! That eruption is nothing but good, all elements you can wish for in a great track are present. Ending like it started, with a steady beat, and a melody that slowly fades away…
This is definitely dance floor material!
It amazes me that Mike keeps on pushing out great tracks, I can’t remember one single track that was bad.
B1: Magic Impuls (Jacob & Mendez Remix) Starting off on a different note, this has a more techy sound to it. But it keeps a lot of the Original Mix, making this a great remix. Especially around the middle, there’s a new sound effect, a bit like some bells, which really stands out in the entire track.
It’s a hard choice to make, but I’ll go with the Jacob & Mendez Remix, cause of it’s freshness, and it the bells.
