Global Gathering 2002 returns to the Long Marston Airfield site in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire on Saturday 27th July for a 15hr marathon of music and mayhem. This year Godskitchen have teamed up with some of the countries most prolific promoters, providing seven high energy arenas covering all areas of dance music. Whether you like euphoric trance, tribal beats, progressive, funky house, hard house or drum and bass, Global Gathering 2002 offers the best of the world’s DJs bringing you an unrivalled festival line up.

Having also been granted an extended license with no objections, the Global Gathering experience is now open to a massive 35,000 people, 10,000 more than last year.

Chris Griffin, Godskitchen promoter and co-owner, states, “GLOBAL GATHERING 2001 stamped its authority on the club calendar. It was a huge success and a compete sell out. GLOBAL GATHERING 2002 is set to be even bigger with an increased site capacity and a new music arena. This is our second year running and this event promises to be the ultimate dance festival of 2002.”

Godskitchen is renowned and respected for its unique creative flair that sets it apart from any other dance music promoter. Plans are well in hand to transform the Long Marston Airfield into a magical wonderland of sights and sounds.

The centerpiece is a 20m water spay fountain with a colossal laser projector, beaming 3D images hovering above the ground. All around you will be hundreds of 25ft high sunflowers and colourful windmills decorating the site. 4x75 watt Yag lasers will make the sky a blanket of light, bright enough to be seen for 40 miles. Global Gathering 2002 will truly be unlike any other festival experience.


The Arenas

The Godskitchen arena brings a supreme selection of house and trance DJs including Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Tiesto, Fergie, Mauro Picotto, Armin Van Buuren, John ‘00’ Fleming, Marco V, DJ Scot Project and AJ Gibson.

The UK’s most glamorous house night, Babooshka offers an arena of the world’s greatest masters in uplifting and soulful house, including David Morales, Danny Rampling, Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero, Sandy Rivera (Kings Of Tomorrow), Junior Sanchez, Paul Richards and James Algate.

Hard House giants, Sundissential are on hand with a fast pumping arena with Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, Lisa Pin Up, Andy Farley, Nick Rafferty, Rob Tissera, Lab 4 (live, Ian M, Paul Kershaw, Strange Dave & Dangle, Mark Grey and Jez & Charlie.

London’s premier house and trance night, The Gallery, brings an eclectic selection from past and present including Sister Bliss, Tall Paul, Ferry Corsten, Guy Ornadel, Signum, Dumonde, John Kelly, Joy Kitikonti, Johan Gielen, Daniel Soto, Steve Lee and Darren Christian.

Northern clubbing legend, Colours, provides a progressive edge to Global Gathering 2002 with DJ’s including John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Way Out West (live), Sander Kleinenberg, John Graham (Quiver), Phil Tompson, Chris Fortier, Jon Mancini and Iain ‘Boney’ Clark.

Musical pioneers Atomic Jam will be catering for the true Techno lover with a serious line up including Derrick May, Speedy J, Slam, Umek, Funk d’void, Surgeon, Ben Sims, Billy Nasty, Suburban Knight, Ade Fenton and Tony Work.

Drum and Bass originators Helter Skelter and Club Sidewinder have combined to form Accelerated Culture for an arena boasting the best drum and bass DJs of past and present. These include Roni Size, DJ Craze (3x DMC World Champion), Grooverider, Krust, Hype, Andy C, Shy F.X., Mickey Finn, Zinc, Brockie, Mampi Swift, Bad Company, Nicky Blackmarket, Garry K, Dollar, Dangerous D alongside MC’s Skibadee, Shabba, Fearless, Dynamite, Dett, Ic3, MC MC, Spyda, Fatman D, Juiceman, Presha and Man Parris.
