 Arvikafestivalen is a swedish annual event that attracts about 100 artists and 15000 visitors over 3 days. In past years we've seen Astral Projection, The Prodigy and Moby entering the stage. This year the artists in general are a little less attractive than usual, but still worth a visit!
This is the first time ever i:Vibes cover an event as it happens. Three friends of ours (Rene, Dag and Jon) have taken the trip to the small city of Arvika, Sweden. In their luggage you'll find a tent, sleeping bags, a laptop, a digital camera and a gprs cellular phone. Luckily the organizers have made a reporter-area available to us with a faster internet connection than the slow gprs-service.
Arvikafestivalen got artists covering almost all musical genres, but we'll of course consentrate on covering the main dance/electronica artists like DJ Nukem, Infected Mushroom, Orbital, Peace Division and Timo Maas. In addition to those we will try to catch up with some of the less know dj's making their appearances.
The festival started on July 11th and finishes the 13th. We got our first reports in today. Check out our party-reports to read about what's happening in Arvika!
