Huh, a Madonna song on i:Vibes?? WHAT?? Yes, you read right, a Madonna song, but mixed and turned into a progressive monster, that was worth of the name 'Tune of the week'
Finally, this has been released, I’ve been waiting for this song for a long time, ever since we first mentioned something about a remix. And now, it’s here, on a one-sided promo.
A: Music (Shane54's Pink Flood Mix)
A driving beat, some drums, and you immediately get the feel that this is gonna be a deep tribal song. A few seconds later, the tribal drums fade out, to be replaced by a deep bass sound, and then it all begins! That famous sound from the original was kept, but it was altered so it would sound more moody. And it worked. And then the vocals start 'Hey mr DJ, put a record on, I wanna dance with my baby, ...', but it has been filtered, changed so that it wouldn't be so clear. A nice little melody occurs between the vocals, which certainly add to the song. Repeating it all, and then blowing up in your face, this IS dancefloor material!
This certainly is a GREAT Madonna mix which should be in every proghead's record box.
