© danny tenaglia Danny Tenaglia is soon to be doing a mammoth 12 hour set at Sankey's Soap In Manchester. The set comes after last Septembers tragedy in NYC, in which Danny was scheduled to play but because of the circumstances in the States-obviously cancelled... now he is prepared and armed with exclusives!

Danny Tenaglia Statement:

"So tell me how do you do? Finally I'm with you!"

First let me start by apologizing for not writing to all of you wonderful people ages ago. I cannot wait to gather with all of you and bring the spirit of "Be Yourself" to Sankey's for two words that almost sum up my entire life: a "Tribal Gathering"! One Love, One Tribe dancing in harmony to Percussion. I love percussion!

Of course as many of you know my sets are not just tribal, but the drums are the foundation. Although I have never been there before, somehow I instinctually know that we are going have bond and have a very special evening together. So I am preparing now and am looking very forward to seeing this wonderful room full of loving smiles full of bodies just jumping & twirling about.

I hope to be in "rare form" for you all which is not very hard for me to do. As long as everything is working properly and I have no technical nightmares, there isn't much that can stop me from Being Myself and climbing the walls of the booth spontaneously.

All I request while I am "working" is the respect that I am "working", and all I require is privacy and water. I will be happy to meet and greet many of you, but not while I am working as I am full of concentraion (especially with this being my first time there). So, I know I am ready. >>>>> I will be playing many mixes that will be only for your ears that no one else has but me since I often do my own re-constructive versions and keep them to myself for exclusivety. Until then, God Bless you all.....

PS: Big respect to David Vincent for believing in me and for not giving up on me as he has been trying to get me to come there for years now, but between my NY residencies, my studio projects and other tours, it just never worked out. As many of you know, I was finally scheduled to be there with all of you last year but had to cancel ( and I know you all understood) due to the tragic World Trade Center/Sept. 11 incident. It was not easy being here in NY witnessing it all first hand. I dreaded the thought of traveling and did not have the motivation to entertain at that time.

However, the world has healed much in almost a years time and "the music" TRULY has been the best medicine for many of us. So I hope to make it all up to you on this next vist there in less than 2 weeks from now.

I guess that's about it for now. I am now registered here and will try to stay in touch as often as possible. I will also include an e-mail address. However, please consider I get many e-mail's and try to reply to as many as possible, so the more brief you keep the e-mail, the easier it will be for me to reply. Please do not e-mail me with questions that will turn into mini interviews and take up too much of my time, but I will be happy to answer a question or two as long as it is upbeat, positive and about the love of music, or something fun. I have no more room for negativity in my new young age and my incredible zest and passion to play music for people who love it just as much as I do.

One last request, I consider all my parties to have a "Be yourself" theme. So whether you are young, old, black, white, gay, straight, purple, fat, skinny, in a suit & tie or a bikini.....
All I ask that all of you respect the person dancing next to you and to Please "BEHAVE".

I think you all know what I am talking about !!

Also, please replenish and drink plenty of water and fluids as I don't want to feel responsible for people passing out from exhaustion, etc...
