John Graham's first single in two years under the 'Quivver' guise has reproduced the excitement brought about by his superb production work. An eagerly anticipated return has shot this track straight into the boxes of all the major players. Bill Hamel hurried to sign it to his Balance 003 for EQ. The work has been touched up and given a maker over for an additional remix.
Press Release....
"This is John Graham's first Quivver single in two years... and what a way to come back to us! .. this one caused a bit of a fist fight between us A + R guys all battling to sign the long awaited new Quivver single, but once again Baroque were victorious... ( and a bit bruised!!)
BozBoz has all the trade marks of a Quivver track- a teasing- ass shaking bassline, catchy driving percussion, enchanting chords & a relentless energy.. add to that a cool f**cked up vocal (see if you can guess who?!) and some mind blowing production (as always) and there you have it.. the new quivver... ENJOY!
Licensed to Bill Hamels - Balance 003 cd, Fred Numfs Universal Language CD and John Grahams own Transport CD.
"the mighty Quivver returns..baroque must have been laughing all the way to the dancefloor when they signed this beauty. Anthem alert Anthem alert" 5/5 7 Mag
All Key radio plays & heavily supported by Sasha, Digweed, Tenaglia, Pappa, Parks & Wilson, Hernan Cattaneo, Kleinenberg + clan....
Review: Original: Pure John Graham, quirky effects, funky bassline, skipping high hats. The track sets on a journey showcasing some of the features for-mentioned. It gathers momentum with the funky bassline combining with the high hats. The highs are nicely programmed to lock you into both them and the bassline. Vocoded samples linger, twisting its way to the peak at the breakdown. The track fills out, with the same drum pattern joined to strange hollow effects-every aspect of the track is clear and timed to perfection-fitting in and complimenting each other. It holds the same sequence throughout all the main body, but not losing any attention. Excellent work!
Transport Dub: The transport dub is virtually identical to the original, but is touched up slightly on key areas. It changes its approach and goes for a more driving approach. It cuts out most of the hollow effects and goes for a subtle synth-which is hardly noticeable. A reflection of the original-still great production work-varying slightly-but being my personal favourite of the two mixes.
