© www.partyscene.nlThe Fast Forward Dance Parade 2002 (FFWD 2002), more like a statement than a name of a major event. 350.000 visitors at the parade, and 150.000 at the afterparty on the Lloyd pier. With all the music genres/dj’s etc. being present this was and is a must for every housemusic fan! Though some rain came during the event I can look back to a great day, can't wait until next year!

The Beginning
I am writing this report with some wasted clothing on the left of me and shoes that look like I have been walking a 10000 kilometers yesterday.....

After some delay we finally arrived at 14.30 at the FFWD. We travelled by metro and it was that great again to see metro after metro filled with only tranceminded people....some 350.0000 people came totally yesterday if I counted them all well...

The Trucks
When we arrived (Nieuwe Binnenweg) the first truck we saw was the Bitte ein Beat truck. A closer look showed us that Charly Lownoise was on it together with Cosmic Gate who was doing the mixing. Well the style was great as well as the mixing but why was the crowd that small along it? Cosmic Gate is well known up here and I know for sure lots of people like em... Well when we got closer we heard the very bad volume. I couldn't feel any damn bassdrum and I even could hear music coming from another truck which sounded much better.
That truck was the Blackhole truck...and they have DONE it again. Tiesto isn't even present because he is in America right now and he still ROCKS. Woooooooow what a sound what a smoke what a crowd. Cor Fijneman was mixing and no one else...only pumping tracks this time. To be honest thinking about Cor I have to admit I like his style but sometimes he has some very easy tuned stuff in his mixes, but ok thats Cor. The Cor I saw and heard yesterday was definitely someone else. True Tiesto tunes were mixed with some harder stuff all in one....

Last year the trucks were driving constantly though it was great that way the organizastion decided to change that a little this year into driving some 100 meters and then stopping to give the audience a chance to dance and party along the trucks. In my opinion this decision was great, the atmosphere was even better!

A bit later we crossed a bridge and you could even feel the bridge was moving up and down because of the dancing crowd on it...Also the audience, that was just looking, must have had a great time too. Even older people were looking out of their windows to the dancing crowd beneath it…….

The Afterparty
Finally (15.45) we arrived at the Lloyd Pier were the afterparty was being held. 2 very big fields were splitted as field 1: TRANCE field 2: splitted in a Techno area and a Club and Chemistry area if I am right.

We went to the techno area, got a couple of fresh drinks etc and waited for some good music. Joachim was spinning pretty ok and Laidback Luke was GREAT: lots of pumping tracks BUT always when you are feeling happy there is always something bad coming. At Sensation Black Edition it was Mauro Picotto yesterday we called him Remy. Why you ask yourself? Why do they schedule this kind of bad guys in such a great line up? Why oooh why....
As almost everyone went away or just stopped dancing we started to look a bit around the fields.........just looking and relaxing.

After a while Stacey Pullen began his mix but I haven't heard much of that set because I met some old friends which I hadn't seen for a long time..after some long talking we went back to the techno area to hear Michel de Heij who started half an hour earlier for some reason I don’t know. If you like his style you were definitely having some damn good time.
Blasting techno tunes one by one, hour after hour.....it was a great mix towards the end of the evening.......but not for us because we also went to the Hardbass party in Club Tropicana..

The weather
BUT I have to tell you all something bad which happened: the weather....
Scared for BIG rain we all were the whole wk before the FFWD and while it last. The parade went pretty good, only sunshine.........When we arrived at the afterparty (around 16.00 o clock) we could see the bad clouds far away. At 17.00 it was raining and raining BIG time......luckily we had taken some measures to prevent us from becoming wet but we couldnt help it getting wet with this kind of weather.
After 20-25 minutes it stopped and everyone was wet as well as the field we were on but
everyone went back dancing....Little time later another BIG rain started and after that
everybody was completely wet........Really bad........

Because the end was there at 23.00 and we were pretty wet but not tired we went to the
Hardbass party. Thats a true must for all hardstyle minded people out there....I have seen Panic/Dana/ etc: more info about this party check: http://b2s-events.nl/site800.html

Conclusion
Conclusion must be the FFWD 2002 was even better than last year. More trucks way more crowd etc. Only the rain that started at 18.00 o'clock was a bit bad. Though hardly anyone left because of the good atmosphere and music. If it's up to me: I like it this way and therefore I want exactly the same next year. Was everything that damn good? Well yes, maybe a bit more crowd and off course more trucks and last but not least an end at 06.00 o clock instead of 23.00, shouldn’t be anything to complain about that way!
