Yet another release from the boys and girls at Blutonium, this one contains 4 awesome remixes including that of LeBrisc, Blutonium Boy and Michael Fusseder.
Yet another brand new track from the boys at Blutonium Records is one produced by Thomas Trouble and DJ Session One.
Tracklist:
A1. Blutonium Boy Hardstyle Mix A2. Michael Fusseder Mix B1. Mono Tune Mix B2. LeBrisc Mix
Blutonium Boy Hardstyle Mix
Blutonium resident DJ Session One comes through with this huge remix which actually reminds me of something out of a soundtrack minus the techno bassline and funky vocals. Repurcussions of the bassline rocks through the speakers and to me, you'll either love this remix or hate it. Probably a bit more techno orientated that the other remixes but nonetheless, quality as expected from the head honcho.
Michael Fusseder Mix
The darkest of the remixes, the remix from Michael Fusseder brings in a stronger and deeper bassline combined with echoing synths which trickle through your ears like melodies coming from within your head. A very late 90s style track, this remix comes in as the most innovative from my point of view, but on par with the other remixes in terms of quality.
Mono Tune Mix
Mono Tune, perhaps the word Mono doesn't sound too exciting, but you wouldn't expect a trance / techno record to have a mix which is monotonic throughout, but that is really what this whole mix is about. Suprisingly though, it might not bore you as much as the name does with its driving bassline and hi-nrg sequences, with only a minimal break halfway through which emanates with background vocals before pummeling straight back into the main bassline without any hesitation. This is definitely a peak time smasher and although a bassline which sounds the same throughout the track, there is no doubt that this would cause a lot of damage in a set by someone like Paul van Dyk or Talla 2XLC.
LeBrisc Mix
Le Brisc, a producer who has already made such a huge impact on the Blutonium front is back again with a steel driven hard trancer which is likely to be one of the strongest remixes for most listeners, especially with it's Scot Project-esque stomping bassline which is bound to cause a huge riot around the world. But be surprised, after the break halfway into the track, a distorted melodic sequential comes through sounding more than just eerie but perfect for those dark rooms filled to the brim with people mesmerized with the music.
Each of the remixes brings in a bit of something for everyone, which is what Blutonium stands for, a bit of trance, some techno, but always good for the dance floors, which is what makes this label one of the strongest of the European trance labels to come out in the past several years.
A solid 8/10.
