Being caned by Judge Jules, favourite of 2002 for Johan Gielen, this looks to be a promising year for ‘The Theme’.
Having a lot of plays by Judge Jules, and Johan Gielen, the future looks promising for this record, but what is it that makes this track stand out from all the other tunes?
Maybe it’s cause of the fact that the man behind Jurgen Vries, Darren Tate is talented, he is responsible for Angelic, who had several hits, and now he made The Theme.
When I first heard this song, I thought, ‘What is this?’ cause it wasn’t the best song I ever heard, but with more listens, it grows on you, and it gets in your blood, especially the catchy melody.
The song starts out simple, with a simple bit, and some layers like sound effects. And soon into the song, the first notes from the melody begin, and it’s catchy, very catchy. That melody is very simple, but so effective that shortly, you’ll be ‘singing’ a long. And it keeps up the quality, with a nice breakdown where the melody remains. This song has a lot of dance-floor elements in it, hence why Judge Jules plays it, and why Johan Gielen chose this song as his favourite of 2002.
This songs gets a 9/10 for me!
