A few months back we interviews both Steve Lawler and DJ Mac C and Ali from the Low End Specialists, both giving suggestions of the long anticipated remix of Steve Lawler's new track 'Andante', and here it finally comes.
Hot on the heals of Steve Lawler's Light's Out CD compilation on GlobalUnderground, Steve came forward with his new single, one titled Andante, which saw its initial pressings in July with some nice funked up remixing from the Scumfrogs.
Now, the long awaited Low End Specialists Remix of the track is seeing its release on John Digweed's Bedrock label.
Their last single 'Smoked Piece' caused more than a stir in progressive territory and ripped apart many dance floors with its tribal beats and superb percussions.
On September 2nd, the release of Andante will come out in the UK with this Low End Specialists Remix as well as having the Scumfrog Remix contained in the release as well.
This is what the LES had to say about it when we asked them in May:
"i:Vibes: Nice, well hopefully somehow, someone will manage to get it back onto a release in the future!... how about Steve Lawler's "Andante", what can you guys say about that?
Mac: what can we say?
WOW!
Ali: We're really amped about the Andante remix, definately our sound, big room stormer and it has a long intro which I'm sure Steve will like for his sets!
Mac: We had met up with Diggers when he played in NYC with Sasha and we talked for a few minutes and he said he wanted us to do a mix for Bedrock, little did we know that 2 days later Bedrock would be asking us to mix Lawlers new record
We were shocked to say the least"
