Some of you might have had listened to Paul van Dyk's recent Soundgarden set and heard this immense tune. Well its finally here and i:Vibes has got this exclusive review for you.
The Mirco de Govia Vocal Remix has been the representation of vocal trance at its best for summer 2002, but unfortunately the first release of this track will not contain that mix. Instead, we have these:
A1. Ronski Speed Mix B1. Mirco de Govia Dub
Ronski Speed Mix
Ronski Speed, aka the producer of this track and half of Sonorous and Mirco de Govia puts on a remix of his own track and for those of you questioning the quality of this mix, rest assured that this is quality trance at its best. With the vocal chants of the lead vocalist breaking through to add a touch of Euphoria that Euphonic Records has provided in the past. The first major break which precedes at about the 2-3 minute mark is where the melody which you have all been so dying for. I would label this as progressive but yet uplifting trance because of the various elements that this mix brings about; the throbbing bassline, the beautiful melody and vocal backgrounds make this one of the most refreshing songs of this year so far and definitely worth the wait.
Excellent remix!
Mirco de Govia Dub
Why Euphonic chose to put the Mirco de GOvia Dub on this record instead of the vocal mix is something of an unanswered question as the vocals are the things to die for in this track but nonetheless the Mirco de Govia Dub is a superb remix on its own right, with a more upbeat tempo and moving melodies which act as the basis of this euphoric track.
The break in this track is definitely the highlight of the track, bringing up a massive synth line before dropping the bass back in and causing havoc on those van Dyk or Kyau & Albert sets. This remix adds more elements than the Ronski Speed Mix and personally is my pick of the record, not to say that both mixes are excellent.
What I had not heard before was the final few minutes of this track, as the sets which have had it on cut it down to about 5 minutes or so, but this epic finale reaches a climax towards the end with its small breakbeat sequence and acts as an excellent track to finish a set off with.
Lets just hope that the vocal remix comes forward in the near future as that is definitely a blinding remix!
Definitely a contender for the tune of the week, an excellent 9/10!
