Andy Perring aka Pulser, the guy behind classics such as 'Cloudwalking', uses his talent to produce a storming remix of this vocal uplifting Trance track...
'The Journey', written by Rohan Heath and Mike Koglin has received some remixes, which are definately worth checking out.
Out now on the 'Mainline' label, featuring the following tracks:
A1: The Journey (Original) A2: The Journey (JFK Remix) B1: The Journey (Pulser Remix)
A1: The Journey (Original) No messing about, this track gets straight into a pumping beat soon followed by a mini drum roll to get things moving along. The combination of sounds and synths give an over all nice warm trance feeling. A huge breakdown soon follows wfeaturing very smooth, soft and gentle female vocals which create an awesome high energy. The tune slowly builds back up again as the vocalist repeatidly sings "follow me.. follow me".. soon kicking in again to create a wonderful trance atmosphere.
A2: The Journey (JFK Remix) This remix doesn't hugely differ from the original. Theres an over all softer feeling to the production. The beat isn't quite as hard but there seems to be more of a melody, in fact the melody is played a lot cleare through the use of a piano. The wonderful sweet vocals have been preserved nicely which help to give an overall trance feeling to the remix.
B1: The Journey (Pulser Remix) Andy Perring aka 'Pulser' has done wonderful things with this production. The beat is much more pumping. The track gradually comes together with a few different sounds and effects soon followed by a drum roll which then introduces the main repeating echoeing sound which defines the track. The vocals soon start afterwards. Andy somehow makes this more dramatic and energetic without loosing the uplifting trance properties. Theres a wonderful synth on the breakdown which really does lift you while the vocals come into play again
Conclusion
An awesome trance production with a smashing remix from Andy perring (Pulser) who is the reason why i picked up this track from my local record store. 8/10
