Sumsonic is able to present a track from up and coming Swiss producers Andre Absolut & Eric Blade. They signed this one earlier this year after they received an email requesting the use of a kick drum from one of their earlier releases!! They were only too happy to oblige on condition they got to hear the track once it was done. 'Pain' was that track and the guys were good enough to let us have it for Sumsonic. The guys have their own label 'Monobasic Records' and have also signed tracks to Sog Records amongst others.
Darko and Gainer deliver the remix this time, their first collaboration since they remixed Greed feat Lesley- 'L.O.V.E.' which featured on the recent Anthony Pappa compilation; "Resolution".
The A side: " Original Lakeside Dub" .. is a great production which grooves and builds in true Sumsonic style. The track drops into a wicked, deep, electronic groove which just keeps grooving and layering...awesome analogue stabs and effects drift in and out of the mix which is punctuated by eerie, twisted echoed vocal samples and effects...groovy stuff!!!
The B side: " Darko and Gainer Remix" ... turned out to be a really interesting slice of house music with the guys putting together a little epic. The track builds steadily with a solid groove that builds gradually with some neat effects and a cool pad. The key loop from the original mix is prominent along with the 'pain' vocal sample. The kick in the tail is a great keyboard lead hook that grooves into the mix before layering up to really drive the whole track forward and give it a quite housey midset feel.... check it out!!
