After a long break, De-Tox is back with a brandnew disco-house stomper, and with Mirage cleaning up on the flipside, expect to see this around in the near future on Drizzly's sub-label Real Groove Records.
A1. De-Tox - Harlem Nights This is funky house at it's best! Driving, chunky beats carry a soulful and intellectual chord melody, filtered string and a huge anthem! Spaced-out vocals blend nicely with this floor stomping monster to add a little something extra on the groove. The breakdowns are still very groovey and snap in and out with a stabbing snare that is very well produced. Get the funk on sister!
B1. Mirage - My Sound Melodic chords open the track into a slow, chilled-out, hedonistic piece of housey euphoria. Very funky and very spaced to get you down from a mad clubbing night out or to warm you up for an all-nighter. Very deep and chunky beats build up and down to create clever breakdowns for maximum effect. Piano synths, swirling samples and a funky overtone build into this hard driving melody in the breakdown that would fit into any driving trance track or even a more techno based tune, but never-the-less, this is one cool tune. Finishing on a blissful set of chords and the sound of the waves crashing against the beach... 10/10.
Great productiom from both camps here. The B-Side opening up into a completely new world and 'Harlem Nights' just totally stomping away as this big chunky, funky moma!
