With tracks like 'On Waves' and 'Emotion' doing the rounds in Europe, 'The Spirit' can only be presumed to equal the success of the previous releases. This uplifting and energetic cracker will be heard for many months to come on the big trance dancefloors.
A1) Wavescope - The Spirit (Wavetraxx Remix)
Some simple kicks open the track, some hevy bass stab type sounds start and a melody joins the track, adding layers to build the track into the breakdowns. Sounds that remind me of Binary Finary accompany the tune to lead into an epic breakdown... "I am the catalyst!" The tune starts, and a new felling comes to the tracks, one of euphoria, uplifting emotiveness and happiness! The track ends more-or-less where it started, a good all rounder, nothing too special, but does create a brilliant atmosphere.
B1) Wavescope - The Spirit (Vocal Mix)
This begins quite differently, a simple kick once again, but the setup of the track is totally different. Some piano-esque synths start and with this, the track begins to grow and starts to drive, bringing abit of energy to the track. The breakdown comes without warning in which the vocals accompany it to the build-up. The track snares and the tune brings a whole new front to 'The Spirit'.
B2) Wavescope - The Spirit (Hard-Trance Mix)
Opening on a cool melodic, uplifting and euphoric score in which it bursts to life! Harder kicks and a wierd, acid sound build into this chaotic, energy driven, hard-trance stomper kicking all the way. The breakdown brings a well earned breather (if you want it to of course) in the almighty tune used to great effect throughout this release, errupts creating ecstacy on waves! This is the most energetic track of the three, and lives up to the name 'hard-trance' in quite a subtle way. 10/10
'The Spirit' creates alot of energy and euphoria, bursting into a big uplifting monster whenever it can. Not for everybodies tastes, but the tune would really make everyone smile when it kicks into the peak, but you'll have to listen to it to find out...
